Daybed

The daybed is as ancient as civilization. In Mediterranean regions, where wood was scarce, they were carved from stone with cloth pillows added for comfort. Studio Greytak’s daybed brings stone and wood together with a slight western flair. Harking back to Hellenic design with an inviting frame for gathering, a solid repeating pattern around the base, and rare white agates reminiscent of the Greek Isles, you can almost see Socrates and Plato convening on the velvety cotton cushion.
